My Portal

A new tab called My Portal acts as your personalized entry point into up.time allowing you to jump to common tasks and your own saved graphs and reports.

Improves productivity and saves you time and effort when you need to access your own data quickly.

My Enterprise

A new tab called My Enterprise is your personal gateway into up.time allowing you to see and manage just the specific servers, network devices, system groups and applications that you care about in your environment.

Improves productivity in large environments where numerous users/administrators are responsible for different servers, network devices and applications. Saves you time as you can get direct access to the specific environment and applications that you wish to monitor and manage.

Consolidated GlobalScan View

GlobalScan now integrates the RadarScan view from up.time 3 and supports multi-level nested groups of systems.

Allow you to view and track more detail all from one consolidated Global view, and supports larger environments with multiple applications and groups of systems at each site. Simplifies the deployment of up.time across large scale corporate networks.

Enhanced Services Monitoring

Deploying up.time's powerful Services Monitoring capabilities across your enterprise is made even easier with more features and increased flexibility so you can get up.time to work that way YOU do :

  • Increased Flexibility of Action and Alert Profiles

  • Retained Services Monitor Data for Graphing and Reporting

  • Improved Event Escalation Options

  • Easier Administration. Instantly Clone any Service Monitors

  • Extended Custom Service Monitors with Data Retention for any custom application. Allows you to track any custom data and applications you wish, then graph them for a historical view

  • Increased Flexibility for Applications Monitoring. (Meta-Services Monitoring renamed to "Applications Monitoring")

  • File System Capacity Monitor now offers more control and granularity for file system checking

  • MySQL Monitor has been expanded to include checking of many internal database performance statistics

  • Oracle[Basic] and Oracle[Enhanced] Monitors updated to provide better SQL script execution and a new Oracle Table Space Check Monitor is now available.

  • SQL Server[Basic] and SQL Server[Enhanced] Monitors also updated to offer faster SQL script execution and a new SQL Server Table Space Check Monitor is now available.

Enhanced SNMP Monitoring

up.time's new SNMP MIB Browser now offers you the ability to dynamically browse your SNMP MIB files so that you can pick and choose which values you wish to monitor. This feature combined with the retained service data option enables you to use up.time to graph and report historical data on any SNMP values that your devices keep track of.

Save time when deploying up.time across your enterprise and ensure you have an accurate view of trends within your SNMP environment.

Enhanced Graphs and Reporting

up.time's Graphing and Reporting engine has been greatly enhanced with:
  • Graphing of Retained Data from all values available in Service Monitors and Custom Monitors is now available

  • More report output options, including XML

  • More flexible report distribution. Send reports to Groups of Users automatically with a single click.

  • Reports can now be customized and saved for execution at a later time.

  • New Application Availability Report

  • Updated Service Outages Report

  • Reports run faster now due to improved load balancing through an enhanced database engine and internal report queuing.

Get more effective reports to the right people faster. Impress your management and colleagues with accurate, useful information.

Easier Administration

Configuration and Administration just got a whole lot easier and more flexible with up.time 4:
  • Users can be assigned access to specific system groups and only be able to see those systems and groups within their view. This allows for total User Access Control and efficiency when deploying across a large enterprise.

  • Users are now assigned specific roles that determine, at a granular level, what they can and cannot access within up.time

  • Multi-Level Administration. Have the need for many up.time administrators? No problem. New user roles and group based permissions allow for administrators to be given full or partial control of up.time by region.

  • Users receiving alerts now can provide more profile information and have more granular control over when and how they receive alerts.

  • Servers with agents can now be grouped into multiple-tier sub-groups, allowing for easy organization of your enterprise

  • Server agents can all be monitored on different and distinct ports, allowing you to quickly bypass any port address limitations

  • Change the names of server agents "on the fly".

High Performance, Scalability and Extended Database Support

High Performance, Scalability and Redundancy are intrinsic improvements available for the up.time 4 Monitoring Station.

up.time 4 has a completely re-designed backend architecture which now supports very large server installations with high performance data collection and reporting.

  • MySQL. Upgrade to MySQL 4.1.16 and the InnoDB storage engine. This update brings a higher level of reliability and performance to users running their monitoring station with MySQL.

  • Oracle 10g. up.time 4 Monitoring Station can now run off a new or existing Oracle database, easily allowing your critical up.time data to fit into your current enterprise data storage model.

  • MS SQL Server (Available Q2 2006)

A Java based threading model inherent in the newly designed architecture of up.time 4 also provides for exceptional speed and reliability, allowing up.time to scale to thousands of times the maximum thread count found in current up.time 3.0 installations. The new up.time 4 high performance architectures also allows up.time to run seamlessly on many different platforms.

Agent-less Monitoring Option

In addition to the in-depth metrics available with up.time Server Agents, up.time 4 also offers a new agent-less monitoring option using Net-SNMP, which offers a "lighter" set of server performance metrics.
