Alex Bewley, CTO
The Big Picture in IT Systems Management
Alex is passionate about bridging the gap between business value and cutting edge technology. A technologist (B.Sc.H in Computer Science, Queen’s University) at heart, Alex’s 17-year long tech tour of duty has involved companies from enterprises to start-ups, included time with Sun Microsystems. Alex founded uptime software (with co-founder and uptime software CEO, Phil Didaskalou) in 2001. When not behind his desk, Alex is either knee deep with the tech startup community or is designing new ways to simplify IT systems management. Outside the office walls, Alex is a Cessna pilot, a world traveler, a dedicated tri-athlete, and a father, just to name a few. His mantra for product design is simple: to strive for the most efficient solution that seamlessly combines effectiveness, value, and beauty. |
